Orange City Hospital & Research Institute(OCHRI), a unit of Ravi Nair Hospitals Private Limited (RNHPL) and a fully NABH accredited multi super specialty hospital of Nagpur city offering expertise of 60 specialities under one roof is also known for regularly conducting varied health awareness, preventive health and occupational safety activities in and around Nagpur. Recently OCHRI conducted First Aid & CPR Training program at the TCS MIHAN-Nagpur office. Dr. Neeta Deshpande, Sr. Anesthesiologist and Qualified BCLS trainer- OCHRI conducted this training program.  Basic Life Support or BLS, generally refers to the type of care that first-responders, healthcare providers and public safety professionals provide to anyone who is experiencing cardiac arrest, respiratory distress or an obstructed airway. In the First Aid program, the basic emergency management of Cardiac arrest, shock, bleeding, choking was presented. A complete demo cum inter-active session for CPR management was conducted with help of mannequin. The program was attended by the Marshals, Medical and Executives staff of TCS, Nagpur office.

Dr.Anup Marar- OCHRI Director commended the efforts of TCS to have arranged such staff welfare program which shows their concern for occupational safety.

Dr. Vidya Nair, Director (Quality)-RNHPL added that staff welfare centric industries who seek to hold such BLS programs in their establishments can call upon Team OCHRI and stated that OCHRI is brainchild of Shri.Udaybhaskar Nair who commissioned OCHRI purely as a social responsibility in memory of his late brother Shri.Ravi Nair and not to generate profits for Nair family.

The program was arranged through the efforts of Shri. Srinivas Murthy, Executive, Mediassist Hyderabad office and Shri.Sunil Sure- OCHRI GM(Admin) . Shri. Riaz Ahmad, Branch Head – Health, Safety & CSR, Shri.Vishal Sahu, Manager-HR – Nagpur TCS were present on the occasion. Ms. Suhasini Koche- OCHRI Nurse assisted Dr. Neeta Deshpande during the program.
