The first comprehensive Critical Care hospital created by Nairsons Group led day Shri.Udaybhaskar Nair in memory of his late brother Shri.Ravi Nair has saved innumerable lives as is rightly reflected in its slogan “Saving lives. Recently Shri.Nitinji Gadkari, Union Minister of Roadways- Road Transport & Highways, Shipping and Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation paid a courtesy visit to OCHRI and recollected his treatment here 18 years back when he and his whole family had met with a bad road accident. Along with his son Shri. Nikhil Gadkari ; he visited the room where he was admitted and complimented the growth of hospital from a 28 bedded unit to present 150. He remembered the doctors and staff who took care of his family during the times of crisis and appreciated that most of them are still attached to OCHRI which reflects the good working atmosphere cultivated at OCHRI. He also appreciated the fact that OCHRI has kept up with times and has upgraded its Operation theatre complex with laminar airflow and hepa-filters which are now considered prerequisites to create a suitable sterile zone. Renowned doctors of central India direct their patients and relatives to OCHRI for comprehensive treatment with confidence in view of the availability of stationed Intensivists, advanced infrastructure, caring personnel and strict quality protocols maintained at OCHRI.

Shri.Nitinji Gadkari conveyed that Universal health coverage announced in recent Union budget will be a big game changer in field of Indian health care and reputed hospitals like OCHRI should join hands with government and provide solace to needy poor patients.

At the outset, Dr. Usha Nair & Dr. Vidya Nair, Directors- Ravi Nair Hospitals Private Limited welcomed Shri.Nitinji Gadkari. Dr. Anup Marar- OCHRI Director highlighted the advancements undertaken to Shri.Nitinji Gadkari.
