Nagpur City’s largest private hospital namely Orange City Hospital & Research Institute attracts medical and paramedical professionals from all over India. With more than 150 doctors serving needy patients through 60 departments, its unique working model has even drawn management professionals to study the intricacies of functioning since profits are reinvested back to society for benefit of underprivileged. Regular training programs for doctors and paramedical personnel are key to OCHRI’s success. Under the aegis of “Siddhhi” various teaching capsules are taught. Experienced nursing professionals teach the incoming trainee nurses from all over India and after the training program a written and viva voce examination is internally conducted. Only after successful completion of training program and the clearance of internal examination; nursing personnel are inducted into mainstream.
A dedicated HR cell run by Smt.Saramma Samuel under supervision of Shri.Roy Thomas, General Manager (HR) looks after the training requirements of incoming nursing personnel.

Wide ranging practical topics are covered during this training program like Nursing etiquettes & grievances handling, employees rights & responsibilities, QMS & Documentation of empanelled / TPA patients, customer focus & satisfaction, Biomedical Waste Disposal , Admission, Transfer & Discharge, Handling patient’s clothes & valuables, Personality Development, Importance of vitals signs, MLC and Inventory checking, IV infusion, Central Line and CPR, syringe pump infusion, medication by oral route, IM/IV medication, drug dilution and calculation, Nursing care of bedridden patients, Managing recovery, Preparation of patient, Managing of patient privacy, Importance of Diet, Handling patients, relatives & visitors, Public Relations, Establishment of interpersonal relationship, Communication skills and Health Education.
On this occasion Shri.Roy Thomas, stated that OCHRI management perceives nurses as an integral part in management of patients. Care delivery by trained qualified nurses has added immense goodwill to our Institution. Hence teaching programs are an integral part of our calendar.
The next training batch commences from 9th October 2015 and classes are held in Jaivik Hall, OCHRI on every Tuesdays and Fridays from 12 to1pm. If nursing personnel from other hospitals are keen to join these training programs, they may also call upon Shri.Roy Thomas during working hours to complete desired formalities.
