Recently a team of OCHRI doctors, held a School Health Check up camp at Scholars Convent, Bajaj Nagar, Nagpur. Team of doctors screened more than 200 students and addressed various important medical issues like general health, hygiene lifestyle diseases etc. Team of doctors comprised of Dr. Deepak Dongre, Dr. Ankit Jain, Dr. Navin Zade, Dr. Chandra Prakash Bhoore, Dr. Mumtaz Choudhary and Dr. Shrutika Wanjari screened the students under the guidance of Dr. Kuldeep Sukhadeve, Consultant, Dept. Of Pediatrics, OCHRI. Sister Reena Madkawade & Sister Nilima Khandate assisted the doctors in this camp.
On this occasion Dr. Anup Marar, Pediatrician & Director (Administration) – OCHRI said “every year we conduct school health check up camp at various schools under the aegis of “Agli Pidhee” as a Corporate Social Responsibility endeavour. Over the years, it is recognized that School Health Check up is an important preventive measure under Primary Health Care which serves purpose of monitoring growth and development of children. If major illnesses which interfere with the child’s performance identified and treated timely, it can save future of the student. In addition, regular, sustained school health examinations help to build a sound foundation for student’s future. Under this program, School Health Checkup is being regularly conducted on a campaign basis by a team of medical officers every year.”
