Free weeklong ENT Consultancy camp for seasonal ENT symptoms
The arrival of winter means colder weather, greenery and inevitably seasonal allergies. The fluctuation of temperatures during the transition of winter season means the overlap of colds and allergies. Fluctuation in temperature makes people more prone to the risk of allergy, cold and respiratory ailments, which, if not treated on time can cause severe respiratory diseases. While some of the symptoms of allergies and colds are similar, these are two very different health conditions. Knowing the difference can help you obtain the right treatment so you’ll be on your way to feeling better sooner rather than later. Any allergy or cold symptoms that don’t get better with treatment should be looked at by your doctor to rule out any possible infections.
As part of their social responsibility, Department of ENT-Orange City Hospital & Research Institute will be conducting a free weeklong consultancy camp for patients with complaints of Sneezing over and over again, especially after you wake up in the morning with running nose and tickle in throat or coughing caused by postnasal drip or even watery itchy eyes and itchy ears, nose, and throat.
Dr. Naziya Khan, ENT Specialist-OCHRI will provide her expertise in a week long Free Camp in OCHRI ENT division. The camp is scheduled from 28th November 2016 to 3rd December 2016 between 12-3pm in OCHRI OPD.
On this occasion Dr. Naziya Khan informed that “Typically, since colds and allergies share similar symptoms and treatments. It is hard to spot the difference. Unlike allergies, the common cold is caused by a virus; while allergy symptoms are a result of immune system responses to allergens like pollen, dust, or even pet dander.” While cold and allergy symptoms may overlap, they should be treated accordingly based on your diagnosis. Untreated allergies can lead to chronic illness. She further added.
