At the outset Dr.Bindu was given a floral welcome by Smt.Himani Joshi, W/o Nagpur CISF Deputy Commandant in presence of Smt.Vincent.
Dr. Bindu Marar highlighted that since the Pap test was first introduced in the 1940’s when cervical cancer was the leading cause of death among women, it has become a preventable cancer as a result of the discovery that the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is the cause of almost all cases of cervical cancer. She added that women between the age of 21 to 29 should be screened with the Pap test alone every three years while for women over 30 years of age and over, the preferred approach is the Pap test plus HPV testing every five years.
Program was conducted by Inspector Geeta Singh while Inspector Sachin Gayakwad coordinated the whole undertaking. Dr. Shruti Kukde, Sr. Papita Kokota & Shri.Anil Dhakate worked hard for the success of this social venture.
