Orange City Hospital & Research Institute is a private hospital with a difference as it reinvests its profits back to society through its various charitable arms. Grants are directed to OCHRI through Chief Minister Relief Fund and TATA TRUSTS for needy children desiring Cochlear Implant Surgeries. Recently Shri.Omprakash Shete from Chief Minister Relief Fund accompanied by Hon’ble Shri.Ashok Kumbhare and Hon’ble Shri.Krishna Khopade, MLAs visited Nagpur based OCHRI.

At the outset they were traditionally welcomed by Shri.Udaybhaskar Nair, Chairman, NAIRSONS Group of Companies. Prominently present on this occasion were Shri.Devendra Mehar, Chairman, Health & Welfare Committee- NMC, Dr.Usha Nair & Dr.Vidya Nair, Directors, Ravi Nair Hospitals Private Limited, Dr.Anup Marar, Director- OCHRI, Dr.Nandu Kolwadkar, Convener- OCHRI Cochlear Implant Program and Dr.Deepak Dongre, SMO Incharge- Yogiraj Hospital (Ramtek). Shri.Omprakash Shete visited the general wards and reviewed the facilities available to admitted patients.

He complimented the exemplary turnout of patients at OCHRI from all over Central India. The itinerary was organised by Smt.Manjiri Damle, Coordinator- OCHRI CIP Cell under guidance of Dr.Anup Marar. Shri.Ganesh Iyer and Shri.Chetan Ragde worked hard for the success of this visit. During this visit, the dignitaries complimented OCHRI for its versatility in service rendition to all classes of populace and conveyed that funds will be henceforth available through CM Relief fund at OCHRI to needy poor patients for any diseases which even includes Road traffic accidents, Renal transplants, Neonatal (New born/ Prematurely) diseases etc.

Shri.Omprakash Shete conveyed the vision of Hon’ble Shri.Devendra Fadnavis to reach out to all needy poor patients through MLA’s of respective constituencies and ensure quality care to them through a network of good disciplined hospitals like OCHRI. He also highlighted the unique TATA TRUST- CM RELIEF FUND grant link provided to OCHRI.

KNS commemorates International Nursing Day 2016


International Nurses Day was commemorated in an elegant manner recently by Kalyani Nursing School run by Ravi Nair Hospitals Private Limited under the diligent supervision of Smt. Jyotsna Bhujbal, Principal- KNS and Smt. Kanchan Bante, Sister Tutor-KNS. Smt. Vilasini Udaybhaskar Nair, Promoter of Orange City Hospital & Research Institute and Managing Director of Nairsons IT Private Limited was Chief Guest for this function. Dr.Vidya Nair, Director, Ravi Nair Hospitals Private Limited was Guest of Honor. Prominently present on this occasion were Shri.Roy Thomas, General Manager-OCHRI and Shri.Dayaram Nimbarte, Nursing Incharge- OCHRI. The theme of this year happens to be Nurses: – A force for change: Improving health systems, resilience.
Ku. Jaimala Bhalavi &  Ku. Shital Raju Ghodam conducted the ceremony. Lamp Lighting by dignitaries on the dais was followed by a Pledge Ceremony by 1st year students led by Smt. Jyotsna Bhujbal. A cultural program followed wherein Group Song was sung by 1st year KNS Students.
Addressing the nursing students on the occasion, Smt.Vilasini Nair took inspiration from Florence Nightingale and conveyed that the patients look for their family in the nurses during their time in the hospital. Patience is the key to success in the given profession. Nurses spend most amount of time with the patients and therefore play a huge role. Nursing staff comprise the biggest work force in the hospital. She motivated them to be the best in the field and pass the knowledge.
Dr.Vidya Nair also guided the students and quoting recollections she expressed her gratitude to all the nurses she worked with in the past from whom she had learnt how things work practically in the hospital.
On behalf of students, Ku Mamta Gulrandhe spoke on the occasion which was followed by a Poetry recital by Ku.Kavita Kumare. A puzzle game with dignitaries was also organized. An Adivasi Group Dance was performed by  Ku. Kajal Salame, Ku. Heena Raut, Ku. Ashwini Uikey, Ku. Ashwini Kumare, Ku. Archana Masram, Ku. Shital V Ghodam and Ku. Pranjali Kokande while  Ku. Jyoti Jugnake delivered a solo dance performance. Smt. Kanchan Bante, Sister Tutor proposed the vote of thanks.
